Media is a mirror.
It took us two thousand years to get to the telegraph. It took us two hundred years to get to the internet. It took us 20 years to to become one with our phones. We’ve always been obsessed with media, and the connection it fosters. It’s just that now all the media we need can fit into our pockets.
The New Media Revolution changed the game - games. It changed everybody’s games.
CONS: Yes, there are issues like kids and their phones, fake news, unfair elections, revenge porn, propaganda, privacy breaches, ransomware, the misuse of "literally," and other digital disasters.
PROS: However, it also helps us share ideas quickly, change social norms, access health resources, organize for social change, change laws, hold politicians accountable, fight for justice, feel more connected, and learn anything we want at anytime we want.
New Media is just more powerful and efficient.
